With a Masters in Philosophy at the Ritsumeikan University you will have received a solid grounding in the activity of philosophising and been introduced to a range of basic themes and concepts in the tradition of philosophy, including ethics and metaphysics, and in the study of particular philosophical texts in the European philosophy tradition, for example, Leibniz and Kant and, typically, on the philosophy of religion and applied ethics.
masters students: You may have specialised in Continental Philosophy, particularly looking at Kant and Kantianism, diverse areas of the phenomenological and hermeneutic traditions, philosophy and the arts, and European philosophy of science. You may have opted for a concentrated philosophy study, or for interdisciplinary study, for example Philosophy and Literary Theory or Philosophical Hermeneutics.
