With a Masters in Arts at Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) You will typically have chosen two disciplines from the range of art and design media available, including painting, photography, graphic design, computers in design, textiles and surface design, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture and video, exploring different techniques and modes of creativity to develop your own styles and techniques.You will typically have studied a critical theories module in which you will have examined the theoretical and historical background to one of your chosen disciplines, considering the social, political and philosophical context of the medium and its leading exponential figures
masters students: Many courses now reflect the multidisciplinary nature of contemporary art, graphic design and curating, providing a creative and dynamic environment for study based on collaborative activity and shared experience. Based on your previous experience, study interests and career aspirations you will typically have been led to one of three outcomes: MA Art & Design (Contemporary Art), MA Art & Design (Graphic Design) or MA Art & Design (Curating).You will have begun with critical contexts through presentations, followed by projects outside the Institution developing working relationships and practice, and finally focusing on studio production and your end exhibition.
