About the B.S. in Criminal Justice AdministrationThe Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration is designed to provide professional preparation for private, public and nonprofit sector professionals in the fields of national and local law enforcement, law, corrections, juvenile justice, homeland security, and intelligence analysis. The degree program requires: - Completion of two lower division required courses common to all students in the Department of Public Administration & Public Policy;
- Completion of a set of upper division core courses common to all Criminal Justice Administration students; and
- Four elective courses.
The Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration degree is a single-field major, which means that students are not required to complete a minor for graduation. Degree RequirementsAll new majors are classified as “pre-criminal justice administration majors” until lower-division requirements are met. Upper division advanced and concentration courses are available only to declared Criminal Justice Administration majors.
