Critical Incident Response Certificate (Undergraduate)
The mission of the Critical Incident Response Certificate is to academically prepare students from diverse backgrounds for positions as security practitioners. Students participating in the program will receive core instruction that is aligned to security industry standards relating to security management fundamentals, physical security, personal security and executive protection, global security issues, terrorism and critical incident management.
The mission of the Critical Incident Response certificate is to academically prepare students from diverse backgrounds for positions as private industry security practitioners. Students actively participating in the Critical Incident Response certificate program will receive core instruction to: Introduce Security Management business and security issues, including the role of the Chief Security Officer. Review the facilities of physical security measures, including active and passive protection systems. Review personal security measures including employee, general public and VIP protection systems and methods. Address global socioeconomic, political, and environmental security issues as well as an introduction to the US State Department International Traffic in Arms Regulation and the US Commerce Department Export Administration Regulations on global business operations. Address domestic and international terrorism and its impact on corporate security operations as well as national security interest and its impact on international operations.
