Logistics Management consists of identifying the steps in a production value chain, ensuring the efficient delivery of inputs and intermediates, coordinating the flow of information, and scheduling of delivery. It is not only a process within industrial companies, but it is also used increasingly as a business model by various warehouse and distribution companies.

The BSc in Logistics combines education in business and general management with a solid and in-depth knowledge in the fields of logistics, transportation management, and supply chain management. Courses are taught by faculty based in Muscat together with visiting professors from RWTH Aachen University and other renowned universities, hence  the programme unites German state-of-the-art expertise and with detailed local knowledge in the field.

In addition to teaching generic skills such as critical and creative thinking, and life-long learning, which are important factors to success, the programme has a strong emphasis on the employability of GUtech’s graduates as well: many of the practical elements of the programme such as case studies or excursions are accomplished in cooperation with local and international industry partners. Intercultural communication and teamwork are regarded as essential and are also integrated throughout the curriculum.

The language of the degree programme is English, including written and oral tests, seminar papers and the bachelor’s thesis. Students are also expected to develop at least basic language and communication skills in German.
