(CNA)
The nurse assistant is an important member of the health care team who provides direct care to patients in sub-acute, acute, and home health settings. All Certified Nurse Assistants function under the supervision of the Licensed Nurse. Programs are approved by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). Upon completion of the nurse assistant course, the student is eligible to take the examination for Nurse Assistant Certification (CNA) offered by a state approved testing agency for a fee. The CNA may then complete courses for certification in Home Health Aide.
