Dance
The Chaffey College Dance Program, as part of the school of Visual and Performing Arts, offers a curriculum for students interested in becoming a dance major, or for non-majors, earning an Associate of Arts degree in Dance, and/or transferring to a UC/CSU University or other institution. Whether furthering dance educational and artistic goals, developing career interests and training in the commercial dance field, discovering cultural and arts interests, or enjoying physical activity and exercise, Chaffey dance students have opportunities to participate in technique and theory courses in a variety of dance genres including ballet, modern, jazz, tap, hip hop, social dance, dance history and appreciation, and movement for the stage, as well as dance performance and choreography through dance production and repertory. The program offers excellent technical dance training for all levels of experience (beginning, intermediate, and advanced) from a professional dance faculty. The dance program also provides learning and creative experiences for students and inspiration to students as they develop a lifelong appreciation of dance art and continue to enjoy and participate in dance throughout their lives.
