Dropout Prevention Specialist Certificate Program (Education)
The number of students leaving school without a diploma is growing at a startling rate. Many are unaware of the rising dropout rate or the detrimental effects this trend will continue to have on our society. Sacramento State is dedicated to helping end this silent epidemic.
CCE has created the Dropout Prevention Specialist (DPS) certificate program to increase awareness about this growing trend and help train Dropout Prevention Specialists who can help young students succeed in completing high school and receiving their diploma.
Learn to identify potential dropouts, understand the reasons students leave school, and gain the skills to implement prevention strategies in an effective and timely manner. You will learn how to involve all stakeholders (teachers, parents and students) to prevent students from leaving school prematurely.
