Bachelor of Arts in Art
At the undergraduate level (BA degree), the Art Department offers a major in Art with a choice of four areas of study (or concentrations): the Subject Matter Program/Pre-Credential Program (Art Education), which is for students interested in teaching art in the elementary or secondary schools; Art History; and two concentrations in Studio Art, one for 48 units (Studio Art Methods) and one for 60 units (Studio Art). Below is a summary of the unit requirements in each area; on the right are links to information sheets used by Art faculty when advising students in the different concentrations.
