Then the MA in Education is for you! The Master of Arts in Education, designed for educational professionals and community leaders, provides advanced preparation in the study of research issues confronting educators and schooling systems. The Curriculum and Instruction (C&I) Emphasis is intended for educators who are seeking to enhance their knowledge and skills in curriculum, teaching and learning, educational research, and assessment to promote student learning. By combining theory and practice, teachers will be able to improve their own classroom practices, be in a position to assume instructional leadership, curriculum design roles, and professional training in their schools or districts. This emphasis positions educators to pursue graduate work at the doctoral level. The Disability Studies (DS) Emphasis prepares teachers and professionals for leadership roles in the field of special education and disabilities.
