Pre-Med
The Maryville College pre-med program provides students with the skill set, knowledge, confidence, and character they will need to be successful in a variety of medical or medically-related fields. Maryville college students obtain outstanding placement in medical programs due to the rigorous coursework, hands-on experiences, sophisticated lab work, opportunities for prestigious internships, and volunteer work or shadowing at local hospitals and doctor’s offices. In addition, students will have the opportunity to obtain personal letters of recommendation from Maryville College faculty, with whom they will work closely throughout their academic career. Students that have completed our pre-med program have gained admission into MD and/or MD/PhD programs at reputable schools including: Harvard, Johns Hopkins, University of Tennessee, Ohio State University, University of Pittsburgh, and Duke University.
