The Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Accounting is an alternate degree programme offered by the Department of Management Sciences. The degrees are acquired through Course Work and Research Project. The major emphasis for the Accounting option is Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Management Accounting, Public Sector Accounting, Accounting Seminar, Accounting Ethics & Value, Forensic Accounting, Auditing and Taxation.
THE PHILOSOPHY AND OBJECTIVES OF THE ACCOUNTING OPTION
The Primary focus of the Accounting program is to produce high quality personnel in the field of Accounting. The program will lead to the enhancing of accounting knowledge and practice in the global market as well as contribute meaningfully to development of Nigeria.
Our accounting program will seek to produce highly skilled accounting personnel, well grounded in accounting, business and computer, as well as equipped with sufficient inter-personal skills to enable them operate effectively in the global market place.
