The BSc Honours Air Traffic Management programme is devised to produce highly motivated, innovative and creative graduates to meet the increasing need for air traffic operations and management professionals within the broad air transport sector of the aviation industry.
The programme is especially designed to appeal to licensed Air Traffic Control Officers (ATCOs) to provide educational progression and development in a range of worthwhile careers within the sector. Individual learning modules within the BSc (Hons) programme will also provide Continued Professional Development (CPD) opportunities for employed ATCOs throughout their career development. To meet these diverse needs, the programme is as flexible and accessible as possible to satisfy the qualification requirements, while integrating with workplace development opportunities.
The programme is devised to integrate with learner’s employment in the air traffic control sector of aviation. Such an environment will provide workplace learning and assessment opportunities that represent real-life activities. Consequently, the programme will have links with Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs), in the civil and military sectors.
