The course of study for students enrolled in the Barbering course shall consist of fifteen hundred (1500) clock hours consisting of technical instruction and practical operations covering all practices consisting the art of Cosmetology.
The course provided will prepare the graduate with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed of their goal in the beauty industry.
The Barbering program prepares individuals to shave and trim facial/neck hair and beards, cut and dress hair, and to prepare for licensure as professional barbers at various levels. Includes instruction in facial shaving; beard and mustache shaping and trimming; shampooing; hair cutting; hair styles and styling art; chemical applications; hair and scalp anatomy and physiology; equipment operation; health and safety; customer service; and shop business practices. Barbering is more than a license, its an up and coming popular and lucrative career.
