The Biomedical Sciences Major was designed to provide students with basic and applied knowledge in the field of biology. During the first two years, students complete a common core foundation of basic biology via an interdisciplinary approach.
Students then choose one of the following four concentrations: molecular and cell biology, medical sciences, computational biology and genomics, and biotechnology. Courses in each concentration include specialized field knowledge, technical electives, and a research thesis project. Upon graduation, students will be prepared to work in technical specialties, continue graduate/ professional degrees, or pursue leadership positions in their fields.
