Program Educational Objectives

The Program Educational Objectives of the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with the concentration in Human Resource Management prepares students in both theoretical and applied aspects of managing human resources in organizations as generalists or as specialists. Students are prepared to treat the HR function not only as personnel management and development, but also as a cornerstone in organizations and thus increase their ability to effectively partner with other functions to achieve organizational objectives and overall targeted performance and thus contribute to the companies’ success. The program prepares students to entry-level jobs in management and graduate studies, for example, Master of Business Administration “MBA” Degree.

Within this area of discipline, students will be exposed to the following fields :

  • Achieve depth of understanding and application of essential content in human resource management
    • To acquire understanding of human resource management and its role in the organization
    • To understand and apply project management techniques and conflict management techniques
    • To have an understanding to Kuwait employment and labor laws
    • To achieve understanding of hiring and selection techniques, performance management systems, compensation and benefits systems and training and development processes
  • Develop competency to develop, measure, analyze, validate and communicate business information
  • Develop analytical and quantitative skills to analyze and formulate business decisions
  • Familiarize with local and global business methods
  • Develop an awareness and knowledge of the role of ethics in the HR profession and in HR business practices
  • To acquire professional experience working in a HR role
  • Develop effective written and oral communication skills
  • Develop the leadership and teamwork skills to function effectively in a diverse cross-functional environment
  • Develop awareness of global issues relating to business decisions
