The Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) is a 4-year program that is conducted at MAHSA University.

Pharmacy is major professional health care discipline. The pharmacist is the ultimate drug expert who has a key role as the intermediary between physician, drug company and patient.

This integrated program’s curriculum is designed as a broad-based program to sufficiently expose students to all perspective of pharmacy practice, with the opportunities for specialization. This curriculum, coupled with interactive teaching methods such as lectures, tutorials, seminars, workshops, practicals, clinical and industrial placements, computer-aided learning (CAL), problem-based learning methods (PBL) and utilization of modern technology in information and communication should be able to produce pharmacists that are knowledgeable, highly competent, ethical and with all the required characteristics of a professional that can contribute greatly to any field of pharmacy, such as hospitals, industries, community pharmacies or other related fields.

Within the curriculum, placement in various institutions which takes place in Semester 6,7 and 8 is used to familiarize and further develop student knowledge and skills in various areas of competency and professionalism. This supervised placement not only provides an opportunity to train them in the knowledge and skills needed to become a competent pharmacist, but also provides an opportunity to build soft skils such as time management, interpersonal skills ans sense of responsibilities through interaction and working with peers and health care professionals. This experience will prepare them to function in the dynamic health care system.
