Course description:
Master studies graduates have the knowledge of nature – allowing them to understand the interdependence of the elements of environment, social knowledge – concerning human needs and social phenomena of leisure time, historic knowledge – about cultural processes and phenomena of tourism needs. Besides, knowledge of law, economics and organization influences the assessment and use of the mechanisms of market economy. Moreover, graduates have the competences of deciding and solving problems connected with the activity in managing hotel and gastronomy places, having domestic and international contacts in separate sectors of tourism and taking independent managerial activity in tourism and recreation.
Students of this field will acquire basic factual knowledge in economics, managing and finances. They will know the statistical and economic methods and appropriate IT tools enabling them to take economic decisions in various kinds of economic organizations. They will have knowledge of the software used in economic issues, designing and protecting IT networks. They will achieve the B2 level of English of Common European Framework and use specialist English in economics, finances, information technology and applied mathematics.
A graduate is prepared to work in all economic units and institutions where marketing, statistics, information technology tools are required.
The course of studies in Tourism and Recreation is addressed to graduates of all fields. Graduates of BA studies of any other field than Tourism and Recreation will be given compensatory classes in complementary module.
