The aim of the Medical Documentation and Office Management Associate Degree Program is to graduate intermediate workforce in the administrative services of the health institutions. Graduates of the program who have a good command of the medical terminology will be supporting both the academicians and health specialists with their effective clerical skills in the organization of the medical documentation.
General Information About the Program
Courses in Medical Documentation and Office Management Program are delivered in 8 categories as computer, office management, medical documentation, English, Turkish, health management, research methods and medicine. During the first semester of the freshman year, students are offered basic courses on office management, medical documentation and medicine. During this period which has a high focus on theory, students have the opportunity of practice through office management and computer courses. During the second semester of the freshman year, students take courses on health management and, at the same time, continue with the second phases of the courses taken during the first semester. During this semester, the focus is on application and practice. The course content of the second year builds on the freshman year courses. During their third semester, students receive in-depth information on research techniques and bio-statistics. Upon the successful completion of the first three semesters, students take part in internship practice.
Education
Medical Documentation and Office Management Associate Degree Program pays special attention to the application of theory into practice. Some of the course content is based on projects, giving the students a chance to conduct profession-related research, analysis and evaluation. Students are motivated to present their research and analysis findings as a report and, at the same time, are introduced with professional ethics and workplace principles.

Medical Documentation and Office Management Associate Degree Program is offered in a genuine environment providing the students with the opportunity of putting theory into practice through a lab designed in an office format. Following the successful completion of the first three semesters, students take part in an internship practice.
