Job boards can fight back mobilegeddon in 2 ways:  Design mobile responsive sites that are coded to present content automatically. (images, content,design) based on screen size. Design mSites specifically for mobile in-line with the desktop version for app interface. Why is it important? A Candidate experience is important than ever, and good talent don’t wait for companies. Staying updated with mobile geddon will ensure smooth journey of an applicant from the mobile visit to apply jobs online. Job seekers look forward to consistent experience throughout devices as their search may start from mobile and end on the desktop site. Google has yet again focused on the importance of mobile in Recruiting strategy. Job boards can start working on different aspects of sites to keep this update rolling. Content- Use SEO best practices for all content & job descriptions on the site. Ensure that content you create is easily consumable & more visual for mobile. Use mobile friendly forms to capture the information from applicants. It may force you to shortened apply process and optimized the page for mobile viewing. Analytics- Have Google Analytics track your mobile usage, engagement & conversions on your career site. Monitor mobile traffic every month and differentiate how many came from PC vs. Mobile. Some Quick Tips to get by!   Be the first candidate for yourself to try out your mobile site and get the firsthand feel of the experience. Ensure your website adapts to any device with fewer updates and content changes for you. Go for Information first and navigation second. Consider staying away from Flash as it won’t work.   Today’s Recruiters have the “mobile first” approach to gain more talent, attract them to right opportunities and finally bring them onboard successfully.
