Should entrepreneurs plan?
Jun 12, 2015
There is a big debate going on in universities about whether we should teach business plans for new businesses. Although this is a traditional way of teaching about start-ups, many academics now say it is a waste of time; just concentrate on the customers.
But plans are great for knowing what resources you need. If you miss something critical; bang goes the business. Others say that it is process of planning those counts, not the plan itself. As soon as its written - it is out of date. Plans are not crystal balls; we can’t tell the future far less plan it!
So what is the difference between a plan and planning? Should entrepreneurs plan?
