Anthropology at the Macquarie University is the study of humans, with the emphasis on humans in groups rather than individuals and you will have received a solid foundation in the origins of the human species, and in the immense diversity of societies and cultures through evolution and the social, cultural and biological developments which have stemmed from it.
phd students: Typically you will have completed several anthropological foundation courses and you will have completed at least one methods in accordance with your subdisciplinary focus. You will also have completed a flexible program of elective study related to your special areas of interest and completed an original field research program as the basis for a dissertation.
