BSN (2+2 Upper-Division Transfer Program)
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Transfer Program
Azusa Pacific University’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing (2+2 Upper-Division Transfer Program) is designed for transfer students interested in pursing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Offered only at APU’s High Desert Regional Campus in Victorville, the program enables students with 48 units of transferable nursing prerequisite courses to complete the nursing major in six consecutive semesters (two years) at APU, including summers. Students graduate equipped to provide effective, compassionate health care.
Students at the High Desert Regional Campus benefit from the same quality nursing education offered at the Azusa campus, and receive personalized attention in a supportive, Christian environment. Taught by experienced faculty-practitioners, the transfer BSN centers on the foundation of nursing care for individuals, families, and communities across the lifespan and in a variety of environments. Students gain hands-on experience through clinical opportunities, and benefit from state-of-the-art technology, including simulators and virtual patients. Upon completion of the program, students are eligible for public health certification.
Throughout the program, students are encouraged to examine the intersection of the Christian faith and their nursing career, their personal spiritual growth, and the concept of spiritual care. Graduates leave with the knowledge and skills to positively impact their patients' lives.
