Online Master of Arts in Emergency Management & Homeland Security
Become a professional in areas related to emergency and disaster management, hazards management, public safety and homeland security. The Master of Arts in Emergency Management and Homeland Security (EMHS) degree program promotes stronger and more resilient communities by helping prepare our students to engage in the effective management of hazards and crises.
Emergency management degree students serve communities across the United States in either public, private or nonprofit sector organizations. Through collaboration among faculty, students and the practitioner community, we offer an online leading-edge program that addresses the complex array of 21st century challenges which require thoughtful and informed leadership. Our program also offers opportunities for international education. Through ASU’s membership in the PLuS Alliance Opens a New Window. , students have access to courses and the opportunity to work with faculty in Australia or the United Kingdom.
Students have the option to choose one concentration from the following:
- biosecurity and threat management
- community resilience
- emergency management
- homeland security
