Transitional Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (transitional DACM)
The Transitional Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (transitional DACM) is for graduates from a master’s degree program in acupuncture and Chinese medicine or Oriental medicine who would like to enter the doctoral level by advancing their knowledge and skill sets in integrative, collaborative care.
Designed with the working professional in mind, the transitional DACM program offers the opportunity to obtain a first professional doctorate education in a convenient 8-month hybrid format. Students complete nearly half of the coursework online and meet at the ACTCM campus for a hands-on application of the remaining material during 6 weekend modules.
The degree builds on MSTCM knowledge in systems-based medicine, oncology, orthopedics, and advanced syndrome-based herbal study and deepens into research literacy and evidence-informed practices.
