Major in Computer Science and History
The joint major program in CS History seeks to expand student learning opportunities in three primary dimensions: enhancing the critical research, reading, and writing skills of students with balanced interests in Computer Science and humanistic inquiry; deepening the understanding of the history of technology, including the origins and rise of the computing industry as it relates to the underlying development of Computer Science as a discipline; and challenging traditional history students to engage with technology and the broader campus community in new ways.
