The Bachelor of Arts in Economics program provides students with a thorough understanding of the tools of micro and macroeconomic analysis. Students will be able to describe the operation of American economic institutions and those within other economies. Students will possess the ability to apply economic tools and methods appropriately to real world situations. In addition, economic degree undergraduates will learn to communicate clearly and effectively and to gain global perspective on economic problems.
The BA in Economics degree prepares students for careers that require an in-depth understanding of the forces of the economy. Students completing this program may attend graduate school in economics, business, law or various other programs. The degree prepares its graduates for a variety of analytical professional opportunities in both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations.
