The anthropological exploration of what it means to be human ranges from the study
of culture and society to human biology and evolution, languages and artistic expression,
and the ways that humans interact with their environments.
The discipline has traditionally approached its topic from within four distinct, but interrelated sub-disciplines: cultural anthropology, archaeology, physical/biological anthropology, and linguistic anthropology, but these are now expanding to include applied anthropology, visual anthropology,
and other exciting multi and interdisciplinary programs.
