The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that the healthcare industry is one of the largest in the country, with almost 22 million jobs projected for the year 2022 — an increase of 5 million jobs between 2012 and that year. It is also the fastest-growing industry, with a growth rate of 29 percent compared to the average of 11 percent for all industries. It’s no surprise that leadership positions in healthcare management are in high demand.
