Applied Exercise Science
The Applied Exercise Science program is designed to provide the broadest kinesiology foundation for students wanting to pursue a wide range of related careers and post-baccalaureate study in the fields of exercise science, biomechanics, dietetics/sport nutrition and exercise physiology. Graduates are well-prepared for jobs in personal training, cardiac rehabilitation, nutrition consulting, corporate fitness and more.
Pre-Physical Therapy
The Pre-Physical Therapy program is designed for students interested in pursuing professional study in health related fields including physical therapy, physician assistant, nursing, prosthetics, or other programs requiring more rigorous preparation in physics and chemistry. Students interested in these fields should consult the prerequisite list for the graduate schools to which they intend to apply. Graduates are well-prepared for jobs in personal training, assisting in orthopedic rehabilitation settings, and more.
Health Science
The Health Science program is designed for students interested in professional service in public health, health/fitness education and promotion, wellness coaching, health research and community health advocacy and programming. Graduates will be skilled in promoting positive, personal behavior changes that have an impact on the health of individuals and their communities. They will be well-prepared to pursue graduate programs in public health, nursing, kinesiology and health science.
