This interdisciplinary program is designed for students seeking a liberal arts education with an emphasis in art. It is recommended for those who wish to pursue teaching, writing, curating, and/or other ways of facilitating art and art experiences in the public realm. After completion of the core program, students will choose from one of the three emphases.
Emphasis A is designed for students who wish to pursue either a Single Subject Teaching Credential in Art or a graduate studies in Art Education or Art Therapy and is an approved subject matter competency waiver in the area of Art by he California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
Emphasis B is designed for students who wish to pursue careers and/or graduate studies in Art Writing and Criticism.
Emphasis C is designed for students who wish to pursue interdisciplinary paths in curating, writing, community-based art, participatory art and/or other areas in which art and the public intersect.
