BA (Hons)
Economics and Banking
This programme draws together the strengths of the department and enables students to gain an understanding of how banks and other financial institutions are placed in the economy, both in the UK and internationally. You will benefit from a rigorous grounding in economic theory and gain subject specific knowledge of the behaviour and practice of banks. Many of the units on this course are shared with the specialist programmes of BA (Hons) Economics and BA (Hons) Banking and Finance. This course has a common first year with BA (Hons) Economics and Finance meaning students have the flexibility to transfer between courses at the end of the first year. We also offer four year routes where you have the opportunity to spend your third year on industrial placement or studying abroad, after which you will return to study for your final year.
