Human Resource Management (HRM) is a vital function of a business because motivated, happy employees result in a productive workforce, which in turn means businesses can grow and develop with their people. From debates around fair and transparent rewards for top management, the implementation of flexible working practices like zero hours contracts, to the recruitment and retention of talent within an organisation, there are many challenges for the HR Manager. Studying Human Resource Management will equip you with the necessary skills to effectively manage and develop people within organisations. Successful HR professionals have excellent communications skills. They are able to show empathy and use their problem solving skills to analyse situations and give honest, fair advice in order to overcome employment issues.
