As competition between businesses has exponentially increased with the ease of information gathering and a global expansion, marketing is a critical aspect of business survival on the global scale. Therefore, the curriculum at Central Christian College is based upon the foundational aspects of marketing: Price, Product, Promotion and Distribution.
The business world is in need of competent, ethical, and passionate marketers that can communicate in a clear, concise, and complete manner. Central Christian College has designed the marketing major with those particular ends in mind. Students will be expected to take on the new perspective in the marketing process as the communicator rather than their traditional consumer role. Along with the timeless promotion and sale technique curriculum, students will have opportunities to learn and practice online coursework and marketing skills using web-based tools like social media.
Students will be challenged through coursework and internship/practicum studies to apply their newfound skills in real world marketing and promotional pieces. This means taking on the perspective of the creator of promotional strategies, versus the receiver of those strategies.
