Social Work Pupil Personnel Services Credential Program (SWRK PPSC) (Education)
CCE proudly offers a post-master’s Pupil Personnel Services Credential (PPSC) in School Social Work (SSW), in partnership with the College of Health and Human Services at Sacramento State.
School social work is a challenging yet rewarding profession. In schools, social workers often serve as the liaison between parents/guardians, the school administration and the community. School social workers collaborate with parents, guardians, teachers and other school officials to support students in reaching their academic and personal potential.
In addition, they address problems such as misconduct, truancy, teenage pregnancy and adolescent substance abuse. School social workers serve as a resource to teachers for behavior and classroom management skills. School social workers may also offer teacher and student workshops.
