Environmental Resource Management
Protecting our planet’s most valuable resources
Learning to preserve and protect the earth’s natural resources has a direct and lasting impact on the quality of life for both present and future generations. Environmental resource managers need to be problem-solvers who can work across traditional academic disciplines and who understand the fundamentals of biological, chemical, and physical processes as well as the legal, economic, and political issues that affect high-level decision-making.
The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Environmental Resource Management (ERM) is an interdisciplinary program housed in CSUB’s School of Business & Public Administration. The ERM program includes coursework in physical and life sciences, law, economics, politics, communications, and management. ERM majors must also complete a senior project and select an area of emphasis or concentration in subjects such as Forestry, Environmental Health, Land Use Policy and Planning, or Occupational Safety and Health.
