The International Studies major integrates political, economic, geographic, historical, and anthropological approaches to the examination of the world.
Students explore contemporary and historical political and cultural systems as well as their interaction in a global context, and apply multidisciplinary theoretical approaches to local, national, and international issues. Students learn to think critically, write persuasively, ask questions, and consider problems from multiple perspectives.
A Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies prepare students for a wide range of careers: diplomacy, international business, non-governmental organizations, local and national government, as well as in teaching and journalism. Students also pursue graduate degrees in fields such as law, business, economics, political science, and history.
