This ground-breaking, interdisciplinary mechanical engineering degree programme focuses on the use of ultra precision engineering in manufacturing, including design methods, the engineering of production cells and control and drive technology. The programme also deals with simulation for the dynamic behaviour of production cells and axial movement in precision technology using hybrid lightweight design methods.

This innovative Master's degree programme is one-of-a-kind in Europe. No other European university is currently offering a degree programme of this type.

GOOD REASONS TO STUDY ADVANCED PRECISION ENGINEERING

  • Programme content highly research-oriented
  • Hands-on programme offering opportunities to apply knowledge in the industrial environment
  • Preparation for career in a range of research and industry sectors which are dependent on ultra precision and macro, micro and nanoengineering

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

A bachelor's degree in engineering (B. Sc., B. Eng., Diplom or similar) with 210 ECTS is a prerequisite. Applicants with fewer than 210 ECTS, or applicants with inadequate background knowledge of mechanical engineering and/or mechatronics, are required to take a one-semester foundation course in technical subjects (30 ECTS).

DURATION OF PROGRAMME

The programme is of 3 or 4 semester's duration depending on pre-existing qualifications.
