Program Educational Objectives

The Program Educational Objectives of the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with the concentration in Marketing enables students to integrate technical knowledge in all areas of marketing with analytical and communication skills to prepare students for the challenges of undertaking and managing the marketing function in any organization. It instills in students an awareness of the problems of marketing in the local and global marketplace. It makes them understand the activities involved in transferring goods and services from producers to consumers, and prepares them for graduate studies, for example, Master of Business Administration “MBA” Degree, as well as careers in sales, advertising, public relations, product management, wholesaling, retailing, and market research.

Student Learning Goals
  • Achieve depth of understanding and application of essential content in marketing
    • To develop an understanding of what marketing/marketing management is and what decisions are involved in regards to marketing process, market segmentation/positioning and marketing mix
    • To understand the responsibilities and tasks of a marketing manager
    • To understand marketing planning processes, customer relationship management, and marketing research methods
  • Develop competency to develop, measure, analyze, validate and communicate business information
  • Develop analytical and quantitative skills to analyze and formulate business decisions.
  • Familiarize with local and global business methods
  • Develop an awareness and knowledge of the role of ethics in the marketing profession and in marketing business practices
  • To acquire professional experience working in a marketing role
  • Develop effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Develop the leadership and teamwork skills to function effectively in a diverse cross-functional environment.
  • Develop awareness of global issues relating to business decisions.
