Program Educational Objectives

The Program Educational Objectives of the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with the concentration in Finance provides students with an intensive knowledge, theoretical and practical, as well as analytical, technical and critical thinking skills to build a successful career in the field of Finance. This area of emphasis prepares students for the management of private and public institutions’ financial structures. From Corporate Finance, to Investments as well as Money and Banking, the variety of program topics helps students develop skills in the field of financial analysis, as well as managerial skills in money international markets. It prepares qualified personnel and potential executives for Kuwait’s banking sector and the financial service industry and graduate studies, for example, Master of Business Administration “MBA” Degree.

Student Learning Goals
  • Achieve depth of understanding and application of essential content in finance
    • Students will be prepared to analyze a situation in financial services and assess possible solutions
    • Students will understand the role of financial policy and investment analysis
    • Students will learn the dynamics of stock markets, asset valuation, portfolio construction and risk management
  • Develop competency to develop, measure, analyze, validate and communicate financial and other information
  • Use analytical and quantitative skills to analyze and formulate business decisions
  • Familiarize with local and global financial issues and business methods
  • Develop an awareness and knowledge of the role of ethics in the finance profession and in finance and investment business practices
