This is a Pre-Registration Nursing programme developed by MAHSA University and approved by the Ministry of Education and the Nursing Board Malaysia.

The programme is carefully planned to correlate theory and practice over the four years, including periods of leave. There is an effective balance of 55% theory and 45% clinical practice.

Clinical nursing practice placements are at hospitals and health clinics of the Ministry of Health Malaysia. Students undergo intensive and comprehensive teaching and practice in the simulation wards and skills laboratories to prepare them for clinical practice. At the Clinical areas, the students will be supervised and supported by highly experienced lecturers and clinical instructors. A cumulative proficiency log book will be used to assess the clinical competencies achieved by the students at the clinical areas.

Upon successful completion of the programme at the university level, students will sit for the Nursing Board Malaysia registration examination to qualify as a Registered Nurse.
