Course description:
Bachelor’s degree graduates of Tourism and Recreation have knowledge of nature, social, economics and organization-legal fields and practical skills enabling them to run business activity in tourism, recreation and hotel industry. They can apply for a job in both managerial and executive positions in travel agencies, hotels and eateries, sports centers, holiday and recreational centers and state and self-government administration, and social organizations. They are prepared to run individual business activities.
The course of studies provides students with 5 weeks of vocational trainings in domestic and foreign tourism-hotel companies and weekly field practices in the Training – Relaxation Center of Social Sciences Higher School in Piotrawin at the Vistula.
Academic teachers of Tourism and Recreation are highly qualified specialists working in Lublin and Warsaw academic centers. They have good methodological, factual and vocational preparation to run classes in general, orientational and specialist subjects.
The studies give students the possibility to broaden their knowledge by acting in science clubs and Active Tourism Club and gaining many trade qualifications e.g. trips guide, tourist guide, summer camp career and holiday places manager for children and teenagers.
Erasmus programme offer trainings and foreign internships all over European Union. The thematic content of an internship is directly connected with the scope of studies.
