Distance Learning - Up to 30 months
The Nutrition Consultant Training Program is available via Distance Learning. People who live far away, have time constraints, or simply prefer to work from home can receive our nutrition training online.
The Distance Learning Program brings the classroom to the student, giving one the flexibility and freedom to pursue in-depth nutrition education on their own time, from their own home, in a way that’s organic to them. Distance Learning is structured, yet flexible, and is perfect for busy people who are independent, self-motivated, and who have a desire to improve the world through holistic nutrition.
Distance Learning students will learn through a series of audio lectures by college Founder and President Dr. Ed Bauman. Audio lectures will be supported by innovative textbooks, workbooks, videos, and more. Download the lectures, view them in a multimedia Powerpoint presentation, or upload them to your Mp3 player and learn on the go.
During their studies, Distance Learning students will have regular phone calls scheduled with a Bauman College Distance Learning Mentor who will help guide them through the program.
Structured Yet Flexible Schedule
Students may begin the Bauman College Distance Learning Program at any time. Although we allow up to 30 months to complete the program, students may finish in as little as 18 months. Every student works differently, but 5-10 hours per week should be a reasonable commitment for an 18 month time frame. A recommended pace to ensure completion of the program would entail each module taking no longer than 30 days to complete.
Student Resources
You will study the same great curriculum with the Distance Learning option of the Nutrition Consultant Training Program as in its classroom-based counterpart, including the internship portion of the program. Unlike many other Distance Learning programs, Bauman College students have the benefit of individual telephone consultations with their Personal Mentor throughout the program, at a mutually convenient time, to monitor their progress. Students will be guided and supported by these regular phone appointments, which allow students to ask in-depth questions, receive detailed feedback on homework for each course topic, review core competencies of the program, get answers to questions, and more. Please note that international students are responsible for international calling fees with their mentor.
