The Course
Chemical compounds are all around us - that‘s why the field of chemistry is an essential discipline in many areas of both science and industry, and well-trained specialists are always in demand. Consequently, well-trained specialists are sought after. To educate them is the aim of the three-year Bachelor’s course in Applied Chemistry that is offered by Moulay Ismail University in Meknès, Morocco, in cooperation with Aachen University of Applied Sciences.
The practice-related programme in engineering is modelled on the course of the same name at Aachen and the curriculum is identical. In addition, Moroccan students are taught German. Teaching is conducted by Moroccan lecturers complemented by lecturers from Aachen who hold block seminars in German in the fourth semester. The last two semesters are spent in Germany. Students complete their studies with a dual Bachelor’s degree from both partner universities. The course has been accredited by AQAS.
Graduates are expected to become highly qualified specialists who are able to meet the demands of industry in both Morocco and Germany. The universities therefore work closely together with business. Various companies offer positions for students to do their bachelor‘s thesis and for student interns to gain work experience.
Das Programm
Chemie ist nahezu überall: Für viele Wissenschaftsbereiche ist sie als Grundlagendisziplin ebenso unverzichtbar wie etwa für zahlreiche industrielle Prozesse. Entsprechend gefragt sind gut ausgebildete Fachleute. Dafür soll der dreijährige Bachelor-Studiengang Angewandte Chemie sorgen, den die Universität Moulay Ismail im marokkanischen Meknés in Zusammenarbeit mit der Fachhochschule Aachen einführt.
Die praxisorientierte Ingenieurausbildung richtet sich nach dem Vorbild des gleichnamigen Aachener Studiengangs, so ist etwa das Curriculum identisch. Darüber hinaus erhalten die marokkanischen Studierenden Deutschunterricht. Die Lehrveranstaltungen führen marokkanische Dozenten durch. Hinzu kommen im vierten Semester Blockseminare auf Deutsch, die Hochschullehrer aus Aachen abhalten. Die letzten beiden Semester verbringen die Teilnehmer in Deutschland. Das Studium schließen sie mit einem Doppel-Bachelorabschluss beider Partnerhochschulen ab. Der Studiengang ist von der Akkreditierungsagentur AQAS akkreditiert.
Die Absolventen sollen als hochqualifizierte Fachkräfte die Anforderungen der Industrie sowohl in Marokko als auch in Deutschland erfüllen. Deshalb arbeiten die Partnerhochschulen eng mit der Wirtschaft zusammen. Verschiedene Firmen fördern Studierende mit Stipendien oder bieten Plätze für Praktika und Bachelorarbeiten an.

Les diplômés sont censés se réunir en tant que besoins de l'industrie hautement qualifiés à la fois au Maroc et en Allemagne. Par conséquent, les universités partenaires travaillent en étroite collaboration avec l'industrie. Différentes entreprises encouragent les étudiants avec des bourses ou offrir des places aux stages et de thèses de baccalauréat.
