Your optional modules will have included, among others, Computer and Internet Technologies, Business Programming, IT Support and Computer Networking with an individual project in your final year.
phd students: You will typically have engaged in research in the area of machine learning, pattern analysis and statistical computation, incorporating close collaboration with the mathematical sciences, for example. Alternatively, you may have focused on application areas ranging from bio-medical imaging, face and speech recognition to air-traffic control and safety-critical software design, with a strong emphasis on, for example, shape-based computer vision and image processing, particularly for image retrieval and object classification.
