The German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) is Germany's leading business- oriented research Institution in the field of innovative Software technologies based on artificial intelligence methods. The COS department at DFKI in Saarbrücken led by Prof. Wahlster(Directorand CEO of the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence) is currently seeking several part-time or full-time re- searchers (preferably PhD candidates or postdoctoral researchers) in the area of Interactive and semantic machine learning, see http://iml.dfki.de.
The application areas are multimodal multisensor interfaces: multimedia Information extraction, medical image analysis, intelligent user interfaces, or mobile cognitive assistants.

Position in Medical Image Analysis
Responsibilities: medical image analysis and annotation, see http://medicalcps.dfki.de.
Requirements: state-of-the-art machine learning for medical image analysis; you should also have experience working with AI technology for modelling context Parameters. Additional knowledge of deep learning platforms for medical image analysis would be an asset. Other desirable skills include GPU programming, GoogleML, Tensorflow, or Rapidminer.
The successful applicants will be supervised by Dr. Daniel Sonntag (http://www.dfki.de/~sonntaq/) in a highly collaborative and international environment. Successful candidates are required to be- come adept at scientific paper writing; and presenting scientific findings will be important.
