European Studies is the study of European politics, society and culture. It gives us an understanding of the broad historical, social, political and cultural forces that have shaped contemporary Europe and offer us the opportunity to engage with debates about its future.
With a Masters in European Studies at University at Buffalo you will typically have, your first year, done an Introduction to European Studies, an Introduction to European Cinema, an Introduction to European Cultural Studies and an Introduction to the European Union. Further study will have looked at topics such as Europe in the World; the World in Europe, The EU, European Cinema, European Thought, Writing and Society and The European Union in the World System.
