you will typically have received a solid foundation in such areas as an introduction to Arabic culture and an introduction to Israeli culture, Arabic, Persian and Modern Hebrew(language tuition optional modules), cinemas of the Middle East and an independent study project.
phd students: You will have engaged in advanced, specialised study and research in such fields as classical Islam up to the eighteenth century, the modern Middle East and North Africa in the 19th and 20th centuries or Middle Eastern Literature.
