With a PhD in Finance at University of Exeter you will, typically, have been introduced to the theory and practice of financial accounting, management accounting and finance. You will have learned about the processes of accounting and the structure and development of accounting statements, budgeting and management control within organisations, as well as the nature of the financial markets. You may also have studied economics and business statistics to gain an understanding of the place of accounting and finance in the business environment. you will also have concentrated on the regulatory framework of accounting practice, standard setting, the use of cost information and the provision of information for decision making and the operation of the financial markets, taxation, and advanced financial accounting and audit.
phd students: You will typically have conducted research in one of the following areas of academic specialisation:
