These are the terms and conditions that apply to use for you the visitor ("the visitor") of the www.university-directory.eu - UD website ("the UD"), which is presented by publisher eUni GmbH, Germany ("the publisher"). The terms and conditions may be updated by us in future, unspecified and at no notice to the visitor.
The publisher currently provides the visitor with access to various online resources (information regarding universities, colleges, institutes in Higher Education and networks, job offers, study opportunities, and various other content pertaining to the aforementioned). Unless explicitly stated otherwise, future new features and modifications will be also subject to these terms and conditions.
If certain aspects of the UD’s services require the visitor to register and provide certain information about themselves,the visitor agrees to provide true, accurate, up-to-date and complete information about themselves as laid out in the relevant registration form (such information as the "online application form " and the data contained therein).

Further, the visitor is aware that the publisher does not ‘pre-screen’content, but it (the publisher) does retain the right at its sole discretion to refuse or remove any content available via the UD.
Without limiting the foregoing, the publisher retains the right to remove any content that violates these terms and conditions or is otherwise deemed objectionable.The visitor agrees that they must evaluate, and bear all risks associated with, the use of any content, including any reliance on the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of such content. In this regard, they acknowledge that they may not rely on any content created by the publisher or submitted to the publisher.
The visitor agrees that the publisher may preserve parts or all of the content and may also disclose any content to its partners, affliates and visitors for the purpose of providing the content in an efficient manner and for the purpose of properly administering accounts in accordance with the standard operating procedures of the publisher or its partners and affiliates, and/or if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that any such preservation or disclosure is reasonably necessary to
With respect to all content which the visitor agrees to post to publicly accessible areas of the UD, the visitor grants the publisher the royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive and fully sub-licensable right and licence to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform and display such content (in whole or in part) worldwide and/or to incorporate it in other works in any form, media, or technology now known or developed at any future time.
The visitor agrees not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit for any commercial purposes, any portion of the UD, use of the UD, or access to the UD.
The publisher reserves the right at any time and at any future date it so wishes to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the UD (or any part thereof) with or without notice. The visitor agrees that the publisher shall not be liable to him or to any third party for any modification, suspension or discontinuance of the UD.
The visitor agrees that publisher, in its sole discretion and without liability to them or any third party, may suspend or terminate, with or without notice, the UD or any part of it or any of the visitor’s passwords or accounts (or any part(s) thereof or related files and information) within the UD, and may remove and discard any content within the UD, for any reason, including, disregarding limitation, for lack of use or if the publisher deems that the visitor has violated or acted inconsistently (whether wilfully or unknowingly) with the letter or spirit of these terms and conditions.
The visitor’s dealings with advertisers and vendors found on or through the UD, including payment and delivery of related goods or services, and any other terms, conditions, warranties or representations associated with such dealings, are exclusively between the visitor themselves and advertiser or vendor. The UD may provide, or third parties may provide, links to other web sites or resources. Since the publisher exerts no control over such sites and resources, the visitor agrees that the publisher is not responsible for the availability of such external sites or resources, and does not necessarily endorse and is not responsible or liable for any content, advertising, products, or other materials on or available from such sites or resources. The visitor further acknowledges and agrees that the publisher shall not be held responsible or liable, whether directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused to or alleged to have been caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such content, goods or services available on or through any such site or resource.
The visitor agrees that the services and any necessary software used in connection with the services by the UD contain proprietary and confidential information that is protected by applicable intellectual property and other laws. The visitor further agrees that content contained in sponsor advertisements or information presented to him through the services by the UD or advertisers is protected by copyrights, trademarks, service marks, patents or other proprietary rights and laws. Except where expressly authorised by the publisher or advertisers, the visitor agrees not to modify, rent, lease, loan, sell, distribute or create derivative works, in whole or in part, based on the services offered by the UD or the software.
The Publisher grants the visitor a personal, non-transferable and non-exclusive right and licence to use the object code of its platform on a single computer; provided that they do not (and do not allow any third party to) copy, modify, create a derivative work of, reverse engineer, reverse assemble or otherwise attempt to discover any source code, sell, assign, sublicense, grant a security interest in or otherwise transfer any right in the platform. The foregoing is subject to applicable statute and other express law. The visitor agrees not to modify the platform in any manner or form, or to use modified versions of the platform, including (without limitation) for the purpose of obtaining unauthorised access to the UD. They agree not to access the UD by any means other than through the interface that is provided by the publisher for use in accessing the services by the UD.

The visitor makes use of the UD at their sole risk. The UD is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the publisher expressly disclaims all warranties, conditions and other terms of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to any implied term of merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, and any term as to the provision of services to a standard of reasonable care and skill or as to non-infringement of any intellectual property right
The publisher makes no warranty or representation that (a) the UD will meet the visitor’s requirements, (b) the UD will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, (c) the results that may be obtained from the use of the UD will be accurate or reliable, (d) the quality of any products, services, information, or other material purchased or obtained by the visitor through the UD will meet their expectations, and (e) any errors in the software will be corrected. No advice or information, whether oral or written, obtained by them from the publisher or through or from the UD shall create any warranty or other obligation not expressly laid out in the terms and conditions.
Limitations of liability
The visitor expressly agrees that the publisher shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, particular, consequential or exemplary damages, including but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data or other intangible losses (even if the publisher has been advised of the possibility of such damages), resulting from: (a) the use or the inability to use the UD; (b) the cost of procurement of substitute goods and services resulting from any goods, data, information or services purchased or obtained or messages received or transactions entered into through or from the UD; (c) unauthorized access to or alteration of their transmissions or data; (d) statements or conduct of any third party on the UD; or (e) any other matter relating to the UD.
The visitor agrees that regardless of any statute or law to the contrary, any claim or cause of action arising out of or related to use of the UD of these terms and conditions must be filed within one year after such claim or cause of action arose or be forever barred.
Exclusions and limitations
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages. Accordingly, some of the above limitations may not apply to the visitor. In particular, nothing in these terms and conditions shall affect the statutory rights of any consumer or exclude or restrict any liabiity for death or personal injury arising from the negligence or fraud of the publisher.
University Directory is trademark of eUni GmbH (“the publisher"). Without the publisher's prior permission, the visitor agrees not to display or use in any manner the publisher's trademarks
These terms and conditions (including the guides and rules referred to herein) constitute the entire agreement between the visitor and the publisher and govern their use of the services by the UD, superseding any prior agreements between the visitor and the publisher. They may also be subject to additional terms and conditions that may apply should the visitor make use of affiliate services, third-party content or third-party software. The publisher’s relationship with the visitor is subject to German law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the German courts. Any failure by the publisher to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these terms and conditions shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. If any provision of these terms and conditions is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the parties nevertheless agree that the court should endeavour to give effect to the parties' intentions as reflected in the provision, and the other provisions of these terms and conditions remain in full force and effect.
